Rules Regarding Prohibited Items

Users are sprightly prohibited from listing illegal items on the site. PartX is here to provide a safe service in which users can exchange legitimately online; as a member it is your responsibility to ensure that the particular item you wish to PartX is not in breech of any law.

Please also be aware of Copyright and Trademark standards when listing your items. Despite their legality some items are prohibited from being listed on PartX due to their infringement on certain existing trademarks or copyrights. As a member it is also your responsibility to ensure that items you may wish to exchange on PartX are not in breech of these policies.

A breech of either of these terms may result in

· Suspension or removal of membership
· Removal of listing
· Limits on membership privileges
· Loss of PartX user status

Below is a list of prohibited items:

· Counterfeit currency and stamps
· Drugs
· Stolen Items
· Used Cosmetics

Please note you are still liable if you give away prohibited items for free as opposed to Partxing them. The list of prohibited items is not exhausted or restricted, PartX reserves the right to deem, at any time what is in breech of international law or the principles of the PartX site and community and remove such items accordingly, even if restrictions on the item are not specifically stated in this section.

By becoming a member you are part of an online community, something that can only flourish if you all encourage PartXers to exchange goods, which are serious, and within the law. You can report items that you believe to be in breech of our policies by using the contact us page.

Listing Terms

To allow members to have a fair and enjoyable PartX experience we have put together a set of regulations regarding listing items. These are essential to ensure users provide an accurate description of their product and do not create an unfair advantage that could be detrimental to a members PartX experience.

Breach of any of these policies can result in the following:

· Suspension or removal of membership
· Removal of listing
· Limits on membership privileges
· Loss of PartX user status

Misrepresentation

· Items must be placed in a category that all three parties (PartXer, PartXee and site admin) deem most accurate.
· The member who is listing the item must not mislead other parties as to where the item is located.
· Both user parties must provide a description of their respective items that, to their knowledge is most accurate.

Promoting a safe and fair trading environment

Members must not:

· Promote lotteries, giveaways, prizes or bonuses in their listing
· Profanities or any language that could be deemed offensive must not be used in listing adverts
· Create a listing which does not offer an item
· Include contact information in the title, subtitle, description images or any other part of the listing.

In addition to this, both party of the Part Exchange must honour their respective ends of the transaction and deliver, both items and cash sum as agreed via the website. Members are also prohibited from refusing payment after ‘handshake’ has been made; please note the ‘handshake’ function represents a formal agreement entered into by both PartXing parties this must be adhered to if we are to create a safe and trustworthy community.
